The traditional photovoltaic inverter enclosures are made of 1060, 1070, 5052 (oxide state), while the new products are made of 3004 aluminum plates. These plates have excellent formability, weldability and corrosion resistance. They are suitable for processing parts and components that require good formability, high corrosion resistance and good weldability. The strength is higher than that of 3003, and they are used for components that require higher strength than 3003 alloy. 

Comparison of the material of the inverter housing:

Tensile strength: 5052 aluminum > 3004 aluminum > 1060 aluminum / 1070 aluminum

Comparison of 3004 aluminum and 1070 aluminum: The hardness of 3004 alloy is higher than that of 1070 alloy under the same conditions. Therefore, it can replace the first series and reduce the thickness of the housing, thereby lowering the product procurement cost.

Comparison of 3004 aluminum and 5052 aluminum: Under the same conditions or with similar performance, 3004 alloy can also replace 5052 alloy, which has a price advantage and delivery cycle advantage in special periods.

The 3004 alloy has a fine texture and is easy to be processed into stamped products. Moreover, the 3004 alloy is a type of anti-rust aluminum product with excellent anti-oxidation performance.

The 3004 aluminum sheet has a high elongation rate and high tensile strength, suitable for deep drawing. The drawing depth can be 100-220mm, and it is commonly used for stamping housings and other parts.
